Lonely shepherd, Lord of the Rings and freedom: Francesco Lopazio's Chinese portrait

Inspired by an in-depth reading of Giacomo Leopardi‘s poetry, Italian artist Francesco Lopazio‘s pictures question man’s habitat and his relationship with nature. Without composing a strict and linear narrative, the photographer lets himself be carried away by his travels and captures, with intensity, the theatricality of daily life. “With minimalism, I pursue this feeling of isolation that transports us to a higher state of consciousness. To be able to admire what we have in everyday life,” he told us last January. His striking shots open the doors to a dreamy, almost ghostly universe. Mysterious and allegorical, the characters and animals seen here and there seem to keep a secret that the photographer tries to whisper to us. Today, discover the man behind the pictures with Francesco Lopazio’s Chinese portrait!
