Roy Kourtney
Photographes
Born in 1981, Canadian photographer Kourtney Roy has made self-portraits her specialty. Flash colors, offbeat staging and cinematic references… his images explore the boundary between the real and fictional worlds. She loves to photograph others, but also herself: in her strange compositions, she often appears as the main subject. Her singular style of writing has won over a number of juries: she was awarded the Prix Picto in 2007, the Carte Blanche PMU in 2013, and the Canada Council for the Arts Artist Grant in 2015, among others.
