Fisheye Pop-Up store

From the 2nd to 23rd December, Fisheye Gallery will be transformed into a library and photography studio. Publishers and photographers will take over the gallery for the whole month of December. Here is a preview of the activities program.

For a month, Fisheye Gallery will be transformed into a library and photography studio. In the program: a selection of gems from photography publishers; a box of original risograph prints by Sandrine Elberg; photo shoots, portraits on aluminium plates with Jean-Baptiste Senegas, and those a Polaroid room with Vincent Perez; signing sessions and meetings with publishers and photographers. Fisheye’s pop-up store is also the opportunity to dive into the magazine archives and spend a pleasant moment with the photographers and team from Fisheye.

Program

The éphémère library

 – Open from Wednesday to Sunday (included) from 14h30 to 19h30
Many publishing houses will be joining the event: Chose Commune, Poursuite éditions, Les éditions Charlotte sometimes, Small Paper, Moon Space Books, Fuego Books, Les Éditions FP&CF, Ediciones Anómalas, Thibault Lévêque / Auto-édition, Éditions 77, Light Motiv, The (M) éditions, André Frère Editions, RVB Books, Voies OffArles.

Photo shoots

Portraits on aluminium plates with Jean-Baptiste Senegas – Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd of December from 14h30 to 19h30
Photo shoot with the original printing techniques with Jean-Baptiste Senegas who creates unique works by printing on aluminium plates.

Aluminium prints 20 x 25 cm / unique and non reproducible

Family portrait in a Polaroid room with Vincent Perez – Saturday the 16th and Sunday 17th December from 13h to 20h

The actor, director and photographer, Vincent Perez is taking over the Polaroid room for an exceptionnel photography session.

Book signings
For the whole month of December, publishing houses like photographers are invited for signings. Come to meet Thibault Lévêque, the 9th of December, for his book signing, published by Passion.

Risograph prints by Sandrine Elberg 
Fisheye Gallery and Sandrine Elberg are offering a box set of original prints. In this box, signed and numbered with 50 copies: seven risograph prints from the series Yuki-Onna, inspired by Japanese folklore.
In this series, Sandrine Elberg is in search for identity in far-fetched territories where snow prevails. The artist intervenes with the negative and plays with the polarity of the images. This box of prints is printed by risographe, a technique that uses a printing procedure close to photocopying deriving from a universe of fanzines.
