« Photographing directly from my life, Read You is born out of a desire to connect with my surroundings, » tells us New York photographer Res, 31, « I use light, color and minimal form to evoke an emotional response — an intensity of feeling that is not clearly defined. The subtle unveiling of the subject acknowledges a desire to be seen but not totally revealed. As a result, intimacy with the image becomes a dance that pushes and pulls — a state that has no arrival. Much like identity, intimacy is not a threshold through which one must pass, but a series of negotiations. »
