Anna Hahoutoff : "Americana"

In June 2016, we presented to you the first stage of this beautiful project by Anna Hahoutoff, Americana. Marked by a very strong coherence and visual identity, this body of work has taken on another dimension following the election of Donald Trump: Anna lives in the United States, a country where she travels far and wide to create her images. She explains to us that « these past few months with the elections have been fascinating. To travel across so many different states and to pass through so many urban and rural settings in such a context… It’s marked my vision of the United States. A torrent of mud has struck the country. The horizon is so dark! I’m trying to concentrate on the decorative side of America through this project today, to show it from a more passive angle ». More calm, and calming, as well.
