Laura Fontaine : "Street"

Laura Fontaine is an Italian-born photographer now living in New-York. Here, she gives a personal account for the bizarre and uncanny moments of this bustling and dynamic city. Laura stumbled upon the charm of street photography by chance while sending photos back to her mother in Italy as a way of keeping in touch. Laura captured these images to show ‘a window into our everyday lives in New York‘. This hobby soon transformed into a passion, while she continued to capture through her lens New-York’s hidden secrets. Running after colours, shapes and patterns, all aesthetically appealing, this photographer transforms her everyday stroll into a treat for the eyes. Between constant motion and distraction, Laura Fontaine pays attention to her surroundings, ready to capture the next moment before it disappears in a flash. So, does this photographer have any tips for this adventurous activity ? – “It requires patience and a really comfortable pair of shoes ! “.
