Ten years after the Villiers-le-Bel riots, Linda Mestaoui dedicates a photo series to youth, called Back in the Hood. ‘This is a city that has always been and will always be important to me, I feel at home there, safe’, the photographer tells us about her hometown. Through her series, Linda deconstructs images too often attached to Villiers-le-Bel, and paints a joyful and beautiful youth. ‘The future of our society can be found in those working-class districts’, she concludes.

Eduardo Asenjo Matus
Eduardo Asenjo Matus is a young Chilean photographer fascinated by urban environments. Captivated by the movement, the urban flow, he strides across the streets and delivers his own vision of the city. ‘Every moment is important’, he explains. Due to hearing problems, his other senses heightened. ‘I feel the movement like a noise in a conversation’ he tells us. The sounds of silence, started in 2016, compiles some of his interpretations.
